Marty Smith, Cabot
ARTIST BIO:
Marty Smith was born in Cabot, Arkansas. Marty has been interested in art from an early age. She received a Bachelor's degree from
the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2005 with emphasis on Graphic Design and Painting. She has been building experience in the field of graphic design, but her real love is painting. Her work has been in several places including the Oval Gallery, Starving Artist Cafe, Hurst Gallery, Fellowship Bible Church, The Laughing Moon, The Gallery in Harrison, Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, Kleinert/James Art Center in New York, Arkansas Repertory Theater, The Jacksonville Museum of Military History, The Bird's Nest Gallery in Harrison, Fort Smith Art Center, and the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Morrilton. This year Marty has been gaining hard earned recognition for her art. She was selected for the 3rd Annual Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibition at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Morrilton, AR and received an Award of Merit. She has also earned several other awards. Her work can be seen at Denali's Coffee Co., in Cabot, Arkansas Art Gallery in North Little Rock, and Starving Artist Cafe in Little Rock. She is a member of the Arkansas Artists Registry, Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, Fine Art America and Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in New York. Upcoming shows for her include: "PIGment, Art of the Divine Swine" to be held at the President Clinton Library, "The Prodigal, An Artistic Exploration of Luke 15" at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock and "Feast for the Eye Exhibition" at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Indianola, Mississippi. Her work is in many private collections. Commissions can be done by request. |
