Current Projects: Working with the, "Witter Wildlife Refuge" as an artist illustrating animals in need of assistance & rehabilitation for release back into the wild. With the financial support from the sales of artwork depicting many of the animals at the refuge, she hopes people will come to appreciate these beautiful animals in our care, and lend their support to this worthy cause.

I get Inspiration for my paintings from many things, music, a favorite movie, old family photographs, childhood memories, walks in the woods. I love black and white photography with its strong element of light and dark and the mood it creates. I find that lately I am enjoying hidden imagery, also symbolism in still life painting whether in the accepted interpretations or ones that I have developed on my own. I don’t go too far into fantasy with my work, although it does evoke imagination. I like to be more grounded in reality, having at times a sense of humor, feelings of nostalgia and a familiar connection for those who view it.
Though a realist in my artistic expression, I hope my work will open the imagination and give viewers a time to dream. I’ve been told a person can read whole stories into my paintings, moving the mind and the senses...
