Jan has shown work competitively in several regional exhibitions through out the Mid-South. Collectors include former Arkansas Senator David Pryor, President Bill Clinton, actors Gregory Peck, Stacy Keach and artist Donald Roller Wilson. He is the author of Shapes Make the Man, a book of humorous drawings illustrating Sheldon’s research of physique and temperament. Jan also participated filming of the Blue and the Gray, producing all artwork appearing to be done by the principal actor portraying a Civil War artist correspondent. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1969 with an M.F.A. in painting and graphics and the University of Texas in 1965 with a B.F.A. in painting, drawing, design and art history. His work has been on exhibit at the Art Center of the Ozarks, Common Grounds and Sutton Street Gallery in Fayetteville.
